Climate Debate Delayed

WSJ - Senate to Put Off Bill Until Spring

Congress has pushed back the cap-and-trade bill discussion to spring because this is not a good time for it. Is that the way legislation is to work nowadays? To sit and wait for the opportune time to sneak a proposal through congress. That is preposterous!

Meanwhile, what is this quote from Sen. McCain (R, Ariz.) in which he states that he 'wouldn't support the current Senate proposal because of disagreements over its handling of nuclear energy.' So it is not enough that the cap and trade bill would potential degrade the oil/coal industry, which happens to stretch across the all industries including autos, jets, plastic containers, asphalt, pharmaceuticals (i.e. tylenol), household cleaners, and even the precious candles. To destroy this industry is enough to destroy America, and all McCain, a quasi-democratic Republic, hopes for is to debate nuclear energy. McCain's middle of the road approach for Republicans is finished. Let's have a conservative that will stand for principles that will fight against those that oppose carbanaceous refineries.

Its interesting to see the line in WSJ showing how the EPA was strong-armed into the recent declaration that greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide, are a danger to public health. See blog below on commentary of how dissenters in the EPA are treated.

All eyes should be fixed on Copenhagen as Marxist leaders, Obama included, force 3rd-world countries into accepting the religion of global warming and urge them adopt the food for cars programs as millions of cropland is to be converted to alternative energy systems, driving up the costs of food.
